Gilbert Barajas, D.D.S, M.S.

Dr. Gilbert Barajas is a highly talented dentist specializing in periodontics. He attended California State University of Los Angeles for four years, majoring in biochemistry. From there, he continued his education, graduating with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the prestigious School of Dentistry at the University of California, San Francisco, returning to Southern California to earn his Certificate of Periodontics at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
While attending the School of Dentistry at the University of California at San Francisco, Dr. Barajas demonstrated academic leadership and was elected as the president of his sophomore and junior class, and eventually was elected as Student Body President. While there, Dr. Barajas also received the Delta Dental Award for Outstanding Senior Accomplishment and the Pierre Fuchard Award for Outstanding Senior Achievement in Restorative Dentistry.
Since graduating college, Dr. Barajas has been active in several professional organizations. He is a co-founder and current board member of the Jacobo M. Patian Scholarship for Health Care Professionals, past president and current member of the Latin American Dental Association, and an active member of the Academy of Osseointegration, the American Academy of Periodontology, and the Hispanic Dental Association. Because of his credentials and vast knowledge in Periodontics, Dr. Barajas has been asked to provide expert testimony in California Superior Court cases.
Dr. Barajas is a highly respected and valued member of our professional team at 7 Day Dental. He comes to us with over 20 years experience at the Periodontal Health Group in Montebello. In addition to being a stellar general dentist and periodontist, Dr. Barajas is a husband and a father of one daughter and two boys of whom he is proud. He enjoys being a father, and with the free time available to him also enjoys baseball and golf.
His personal philosophy is, “Treat everyone like family, and always strive for perfection. Everyone is entitled to excellent care, no matter their background or financial status.”
