Anaheim, CA – ReleaseWire.com Dentistry has come a long way. Researchers are always looking for ways to improve dentistry. As a result, we often have new inventions and improvements to talk about.

A research team from University of Baja California has developed a new generation of lightweight dental implant posts. These implants are strong and they are less expensive than the traditional titanium posts.

Strong but cheap – The revolutionary material for implant posts

Dental implants Orange CountyThe researchers have developed these implant posts from polymers and ceramics. This new material is strong enough to absorb a lot of force. So when you chew, these implant posts won’t break. They can handle repetitive force of chewing without ever damaging the underlying bone structure.

Team’s project collaborator in charge of industrial design Mauricio Paz Gonzales told the press that one of the major challenges for the research team developing the new material was its ability to resist corrosion.

This new implant post material is as strong as titanium. It doesn’t rust. The geometry of the posts manufactured from this material is improved to ensure that they hold in place.

It’s less expensive than titanium posts

All of these research efforts would have gone to waste if this new material would have turned out to be more expensive than titanium.

Fortunately, it’s less expensive and therefore offers a great option for anyone looking for cheaper implants.

It’s coated with vitamin D

Not only this new material is strong and cheap, it also provides other advantages for patients. It comes coated with vitamin D.

This important vitamin stimulates production of bone tissue. As a result, patients using these new implant posts will be able to grow bone quickly. Over time, new bone will appear and improve the stability of the implants.

Juan Antonio Paz Gonzales, head of the manufacturing processes, told the press that the research team will compare these new implants to traditional implants after the pilot tests are complete.

Improve your oral health with new implants

Head of research, Luis Villarreal Jesus Gomez, told the press that this new material will improve patients’ oral health in addition to being lightweight and cheap.

While talking about the cost of the implants, Jesus Gomez was excited to announce that implants using this new material will be affordable for everyone. Many people, especially older adults who can’t afford such a transaction, will benefit from this latest advance in dentistry.

We, at 7 Day Dental, are following these developments with great interest. We look forward to being able to offer the newest type of dental implants to our patients. We hope the research team in Mexico meets with resounding success in the near future. Salud!
