Scaling & Root Planing Procedure Orange County, Anaheim, Laguna Woods & Mission Viejo

Staying ahead of gum disease generally and periodontal infection specifically is the end game that scaling and root planing seeks to accomplish. If you booked an appointment for this procedure or we’ve suggested that you might have it done, this email should act as a primer to give you some information.

If you’ve got periodontitis, regular cleanings won’t do it all. The reason is simple. These only focus on the area of your enamel above the gum line. Scaling and root planing gets rid of the plaque, tartar and those bacterial toxins that are hiding below the gumline.

Usually, dental professionals numb the area before the procedure. Not only are we dedicated to making sure you get the very best of dental care, we want you to be comfortable too!

We have specialized dental tools to look after individual teeth or infected quadrants in your mouth. In many cases, this technique that gives you back your healthy smile is accomplished over several sessions. Learn more about scaling and root planing on our website.
